- Give yourself a little extra time. If you know it will take about 15 minutes to drive downtown, allow 20-25 minutes before you need to be here.
- Have a backup. There's always something going on downtown, and your favorite parking lot might be full. Make a note of a second choice, just in case. It will save you a lot of frustration.

- Take TRAX – at $2.25 each way, it's generally cheaper than parking, and it's definitely cheaper than gas and parking together. Get off at Gallivan (300 S), walk a block and a half west.
- Firestone on Pierpont (250 S 200 W) – parking is $3-$5 evenings and weekends, the booth is always staffed, and it's half a block from the Rose. Enter on Pierpont Ave, just off of 200 West.
- Shilo Inn (220 S West Temple) – evening parking is $4 (after 6pm). There are two levels
- Broadway Parking – directly across from the Rose (next to Squatters). $5 parking, and it's incredibly convenient when they staff the booth. However, when they don't have a live person, you'll probably have to wait in line to feed cash into a machine.
- Street parking / City Meters – the good news: they're free after 6pm. The bad news: you're competing with every person eating at a restaurant in the vicinity, and there are plenty of those. If you can get a spot, fantastic. But be warned it can be a competitive sport.
- Diamond parking (between the Rose and Peery Hotel, about 120 W 300 S) – it's right next door.
