DEDICATION: For Mike Evans, February 11, 1952 – September 30, 2015, with endless love and profound gratitude! He loved the Utah landscape with all his heart and immersed himself in Utah history.

Note:  This panoramic work pairs Evans and Emmy Award-winning musician/folklorist Hal Cannon. Originally premiered in RDT’s 50th anniversary season, this piece features “desert music” created by 3hattrio, which acknowledges the cultural traditions of generations who have worked and lived in the deserts of the American southwest. A native Utahn, Evans harnesses his artistic sensibility and love for the region to crystallize heartfelt and whimsical versions of stories of the unique peoples who lived and live here.
