Saturday Workshop - TAP with Alicia Trump

Alicia Trump graduated with a BA in Dance and a minor in Theatre Arts from Weber State University where she was awarded the Outstanding Graduating Senior in Dance Award, the Outstanding Choreographer Award and was the first dance major to receive Departmental Honors in Performing Arts. She grew up tap dancing competitively for 10 years, and currently teaches tap. Alicia is an adjunct professor at WSU teaching Dance for Musical Theatre, Jazz and Ballet, she is an instructor for Ballet West’s I•CAN•DO program, and on faculty at Groove the Academy. Alicia has performed professionally as a dancer with the Utah Opera, Repertory Dance Theatre, Ogden MoveMEANTCollective, Cat + Fish Dances, and many more. She has choreographed for WSU’s Musical Theatre Department, she’s presented her own choreography at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, the Dance Mission Theatre in San Francisco, California, the College of Southern Nevada, as well as the Dance in the Desert Festival (Las Vegas, NV), Red Rock Dance Festival (St. George, UT) and Rocky Mountain Choreography Festival (Ogden, UT). Alicia has a great love for dance, and enjoys sharing it through performing, choreographing, and teaching.
