About
Tami Redd Knubel grew up dancing with Virginia Tanner Creative Dance and Children’s Dance Theatre at the University of Utah, as well as Pearl Wagstaff-Garff at the Life Arts Center. She completed two majors at Brigham Young University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Modern Dance and in Social Work. Tami worked for the Utah Division of Child and Family Services, after which she was fortunate to teach at the Life Arts Center, where she served as Co-Director of Miss Pearl’s Dancer’s Theatre Company. Tami was also a dance specialist with The Waterford School’s Lower Division. In 2004, she opened South Valley Creative Dance in Sandy, UT and now co-directs SVCD with four other amazing and dedicated artists. She is Chair of the Utah Creative Dance Foundation and also serves as Chair of the Utah daCi Day of Dance for daCi Utah (local extension of dance and the Child international). She is fortunate to work for Repertory Dance Theatre as the Dance Outreach Specialist – working in the Arts-in-Education program, as well as RDT’s Music in Motion program for seniors 55 and older.
