Jon Pezely is a retired elementary teacher who serves on the board of the Hellenic Cultural Association. The grandson of Greek immigrants Anastasios and Vasiliki Anastasopoulos, Jon grew up with direct ties to the “Old Greek Town” neighborhood of Salt Lake City. His immersion in “all things Greek” includes card playing in the kafenios, volunteering in the annual Greek Festival, and, of course, enjoying a rich heritage of philosophy, religion, language, and FOOD; Yiasas!
