Dance West 2024

July 15-26, 2024
University of Utah & Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center | Salt Lake City, UT
Dance West is an annual contemporary dance workshop that is dedicated to nurturing the whole dancer. At Dance West, we believe in fostering curiosity, experimentation, and collaboration across various historical and contemporary points of view. We honor each individual dancer and celebrate their own unique journey. Look for these exciting additions:
  • Renewed partnership with the University of Utah School of Dance.
  • A workshop track geared towards university/college dance educators.
  • Evening classes.

Repertory Dance Theatre is proud of our ongoing commitment to showcase diverse artistic viewpoints that give voice to cultures and experiences from around the world. As a part of this ongoing mission, we are proud to present the work of Noa Zuk during our 59th season, a choreographer and dancer of the highest caliber. RDT’s relationship with Noa started in 2014 and, for the past ten years, our connection and relationship has reaffirmed our belief in the universal power of movement to transcend boundaries, foster understanding, and bring people together.  We believe that art, dialogue, and creative collaboration that brings us together in celebration can lead to a more holistic and compassionate world.

We believe that dance and the arts play a vital role in our shared humanity. Movement is a fundamental language that allows us to communicate beyond words, to express our deepest emotions, and to connect with one another on deep and meaningful levels. It is through creative exchange that we can build bridges of empathy and mutual understanding.

RDT remains committed to providing a platform for artists to share their unique perspectives and experiences through dance. By doing so, we hope to contribute to dialogue, healing, and the celebration of our common humanity. We invite our audience to join us in embracing the transformative power of dance as a force for unity in our world.
