In connecting to others and the world we seek to understand through movement, major themes of our work investigate the body in space, developing physical relationships, and social ideas of seeing and being seen.

Cat + Fish Dances is a project-based dance company located in Salt Lake City under the guidance of Artistic Director/Founder Cat Kamrath Monson and Assistant Directors/Founding Members Daniel Do and Megan O'Brien. Founded in 2014, Cat + Fish Dances has performed their works at the University of Utah, Utah Museum of Fine Arts, the Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival, the Rocky Mountain Choreography Festival, Red Rock Dance Festival, Dance in the Desert Festival, and Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival. Cat + Fish Dances is a RAW Artist for Salt Lake City. The company has produced their own summer dance concert since 2017. Cat + Fish Dances are passionate about paying company artists for their rehearsal and performance time. Our hope is to continue to curate dance that promotes a sustainable + lively SLC artist community. RDT’s LINK Series is an outreach program offering independent choreographers the opportunity to present their work in performance. RDT provides infrastructure and advisory support for production and marketing while allowing the choreographer to retain artistic autonomy.
