MARCH 17-18, 2023 | 7:30 PM
ROSE WAGNER - LEONA WAGNER BLACK BOX THEATRE

MATRIARCH is a display of embodied research exploring the topic of maternity in dance. Our experiences probe how pregnant and postpartum bodies break the mold of what a dancer should look like, while simultaneously celebrating the art form as the vehicle through which we find solace. Audience members of all ages are invited to attend, including children.

Featured Dancers: Marisa Augustine-Crowder, LayCee Barnett, Jess MacDonald, Lacie Scott, and Alicia Trump.

Choreography by Jaclyn Brown

Note: This Evening-Length concert is sponsored through Repertory Dance Theatre's LINK Series, the Utah Division of Arts & Museums, and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Department of Dance.

RDT’s LINK Series is an outreach program offering independent choreographers the opportunity to present their work in performance. RDT provides infrastructure and advisory support for production and marketing while allowing the choreographer to retain artistic autonomy.
