In 2018 Rebecca Aneloski founded And Artists as a sanctuary movement space, gathering freelance dance artists in Salt Lake City to research movement and work in a creative process.

The name And Artists exists in satire to highlight the unethical and dishonest practice of choreographic attribution in collaborative dance making, misrepresenting the creative process and movement generated by the performing artists in naming only one choreographer, occasionally following that choreographer’s name with “and artists.”
