Kaley Pruitt is originally from Ketchum, Idaho. She received her professional training at Idyllwild Arts Academy, The Boston Conservatory, & Florida State University. She has her MFA in Dance & Choreography from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where she was awarded the Distinguished Graduate Student Fellowship. She has her BFA in Dance from Florida State and was a member of Dance Repertory Theatre under the direction of Lynda Davis. She has been working in New York City as a dancer and choreographer since 2011. Alongside Kaley Pruitt Dance, she has performed for choreographers: Becky Radway Dance Projects, Maggi Dueker, Rose Hutchins, Esme Boyce, Leanne Schmidt & Company, The Treehouse Shakers, Megan Sipe, and Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre. She’s also had the opportunity to perform works by Jose Limon, Steve Koester, Gerri Houlihan, Lynda Davis, Roger Bellman, Anne Krampen, Shelley Bourgeosis, & Jackie O’Toole. Kaley is on the dance faculty at Illinois State University & Illinois Wesleyan University and was previously modern faculty at Steffi Nossen School of Dance. She has served on the Advisory Board of Inception to Exhibition as well as Dance/NYC’s Junior Committee. (photo by Hailey Tucker)
