Repertory Dance Theatre mourns the passing of  Shirley Russon Ririe, an unforgettable friend and artistic colleague.

Shirley was an inspired teacher and choreographer who also delighted audiences with her performance skills and charisma. Her wit and tireless energy enriched countless lives and provided inspiration to our community and the world of dance.

RDT joins the thousands of students, teachers, performers, and audience members who are grateful for Shirley’s dedication to the arts. Her belief in the power of dance to change lives, and her commitment to arts-in education built an important nationwide initiative and helped make Utah a cultural center for dance.

Repertory Dance Theatre’s dancers, staff, and board of trustees are profoundly grateful for her artistic legacy.
