Maile Yoon is a contemporary dance artist from Hawaiʻi, based in NYC. Her work blends physical precision with emotional honesty, grounded in listening—to music, body, and collaborators—and a commitment to creating space for vulnerability and authenticity.

She has performed with Matthew Westerby Company since 2023, and during her time in the Ailey/Fordham BFA program worked with choreographers including Ethan Colangelo, Madison Hicks, Joanna Kotze, Brice Mousset, Helen Simoneau, Pedro Ruiz, and Michael Leon Thomas.

Maile is also an educator, teaching at The Ailey School and leading residencies through MWC, while assisting choreographic projects in both spaces.
