Join RDT for an evening of revolutionary modern dance at the drive-in! Repertory Dance Theatre just completed our 55th anniversary season as a revolutionary institution of modern dance here in Utah. Join us to enjoy a collection of modern dance performances that were filmed during the pandemic. Including work ranging from 1958 to 2020, this evening at the drive-in will give you a whole new way to experience a dance performance. Including:
- Remote by Marina Harris
- Solos choreographed in 2020 via Zoom from her home in Nova Scotia this piece spotlights each RDT dancer
- Reset by RDT alumni, Justin Bass
- With catchy music and hieroglyphic themes, this piece shines in a video format
- Rainbow Round My Shoulder by modern dance legend, Donald McKayle
- An acclaimed modern dance classic set on a chain gang in the American south
- Outdoors by Noa Zuk & Ohad Fishof
- A physically demanding, contemporary, tribalistic, pattern-piece filled with quirky invention and laced with rhythmic humor.
- Pop-up drive-in opens at 8 pm
- Movies begin at dusk
- Concessions available on site
