Trung “Daniel” Do is a first-generation Vietnamese American born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He received his BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah. After graduating college, he relocated to Portland, Oregon where he collaborated and performed with Shaun Keylock Company and Polaris Dance Theatre. He then accepted a contract with Repertory Dance Theatre (RDT) and has been a company member since 2018. Since joining RDT, he has had the pleasure of performing works by Zvi Gotheiner, José Limón, Lar Lubovitch, Donald McKayle, Ihsan Rustem, Noa Zuk, and others. He has been a guest dancer with Ririe Woodbury Dance Company and the Nikolais/Louis Foundation for Dance for their Alwin Nikolais France tour. He serves as Assistant Director to project-based company, Cat + Fish Dances. Daniel is a dance artist who also has a shared love for teaching and choreographing. That passion has given him opportunities to teach and choreograph for numerous studios, schools, universities, and festivals throughout the country. He highly values the importance of representation and inclusion through his work in the arts. His belief in the power of being seen and valued can provide an access point for many to discover the magic of dance.
